Simplify Intake and Strengthen Compliance: 4 Insights from the Forcura & Medalogix Integration

On July 1 and July 9, 2025, Forcura and Medalogix hosted a powerful webinar unveiling our first integrated solution—bringing together best-in-class workflow and clinical intelligence to transform how home-based care organizations manage intake, documentation, and compliance.

Here are four key takeaways from the discussion that shed light on why this merger matters now more than ever, what the new OASIS requirements mean for your operations, how the new workflow comes to life, and what’s on the horizon.

1. The power of the merger: Why Forcura + Medalogix

The merger of Forcura and Medalogix is more than a business decision—it's a bold step toward achieving the healthcare industry’s elusive quadruple aim: improving population health, enhancing patient and clinician experiences, and lowering costs.

As Annie Erstling, President, explained:

“By combining these two organizations, we're hoping we can really break down the silos inherent in healthcare and allow home-based care providers to have a seat at the table and have more intelligent dialogue with their partners… ultimately responsible for delivering the best patient experience at the most efficient cost.”

Together, Forcura and Medalogix are poised to create intelligent connectivity among home health providers, health systems, community physicians, and payers — so the right care is delivered to the right patient at the right time.

2. What July 1 means for your operations: The new OASIS reality

July 1, 2025 marked a critical turning point for home health agencies. With CMS requiring OASIS assessments for all patients—regardless of payer—providers now face a substantial increase in documentation demands.

Annie highlighted the significance:

“The volume might double for some organizations. It’s going to potentially impact the number of patients a clinician can see per day, especially at first.”

While this shift aims to standardize data, advance interoperability, and accelerate value-based care, it also heightens the risk of delayed filings, errors, and clinician overload. That’s why having robust, intelligent technology is no longer optional—it’s essential.

3. Forcura Referrals + Pulse Admissions

The webinar showcased a live demonstration of how the integration between Forcura’s referral management technology and Medalogix’s Pulse Admissions solution automates and streamlines critical processes.

Laura Brinkoetter, Chief Product Officer, walked through how referrals will now flow seamlessly between Forcura to Pulse Admissions, alleviating the manual upload required for the non-integrated version. Further, Pulse leverages AI to flag discrepancies and drive both efficiency and accuracy from intake through quality review. The result can be a material time saver for any home health business

“Where we used to see OASIS reviews on patients taking up to thirty minutes, we're now seeing them take anywhere between ten and eleven minutes, a huge efficiency gain.”

This means clinicians spend less time sifting through pages of documents and more time focusing on patient care—improving outcomes, clinician satisfaction, and ultimately driving financial performance.

 4. What’s next: More integrations, more efficiency

The Forcura and Medalogix team is just getting started. As Kate Warnock, Senior Director of Communications and Brand Strategy, summed it up:

“We are really working towards helping to support the quadruple aim… We want our populations to get healthier, but we also want our clinicians’ experience to be better as well.”

Looking ahead, our team will continue building deeper integrations across referrals, admissions, clinical management, coding, and even connectivity back to referring physicians—delivering an end-to-end platform that empowers agencies to thrive in a value-based world.
