Implementation Rewind: Top Insights from Our Expert Webinar

Written by | May 23, 2025 7:26:18 PM

As part of our ongoing educational webinar series, Forcura’s recent Implementation Rewind webinar offered a valuable look back—and forward—at key product enhancements that are transforming how organizations manage referrals, orders, reporting, and administration and security. Whether you're new to Forcura or a long-time client, the session delivered a fresh perspective and practical updates designed to streamline operations and unlock greater efficiency across teams. Here are four key insights from the conversation:

1. Intake & Referral Enhancements: Smarter, Faster Workflows

The intake process has seen powerful upgrades thanks to Forcura IQ, Referral Summary, and the latest version of Direct Connect. These tools simplify and speed up referral intake, reduce duplicates, and support centralized teams working quickly.

"We are going to kind of slow your roll, stop you from potentially creating a duplicate, and have you verify if that patient is one of your existing patients or if it is in fact a new patient." — Meghan MacGrogan, Manager, Implementation Team

Other tools like in-app email sending, cross-branch document transfers, and the soon-to-be-released split/recombine fax functionality continue to support intake efficiency.

2. Order Enhancements: Faster Turnaround, Less Effort

Forcura continues to strengthen order processing with tools like provider dashboards, bulk follow-up notes, auto-resend faxed orders, and Forcura Circle—our electronic signature portal.

These tools address common challenges like long turnaround times and provider follow-ups. Auto-resend is especially valuable for reducing "days sent to signed," and Circle streamlines order completion with real-time syncing to EHRs.

3. Insights & Reporting: From Data to Action

One of Forcura's most underused capabilities is its robust analytics suite. Tools like the Document Distribution, Orders Management, and Referral Lifecycle reports empower organizations to move from reactive to proactive decision-making.

"Each of those reports I just mentioned really help with [managing teams and workflows]. But one that stands out just in terms of the process bottlenecks, specific to that referral or intake workflow, I would say is that referral life cycle report.”
— Charlie Flynn, Senior Product Manager

For deeper integration, the Managed File Transfer (MFT) feature enables secure daily delivery of your Forcura data into your preferred analytics platform.

4. Administration & Security: Smarter System Management

Updates to administration and security functions make managing users and workflows significantly easier. Single Sign-On (SSO) simplifies logins and access control, while dashboard templates give admins centralized control over user views.

For legacy clients—those implemented prior to 2022—workflow optimizations present a valuable opportunity to re-evaluate and modernize how teams operate within Forcura, ensuring alignment with current best practices and unlocking new efficiencies.

“Workflow optimizations can certainly help you streamline operations and make sure that Forcura is working for you, not against you now and in the future. "
— Joseph Fisher, Senior Consultant, Professional Services

Whether you’re looking to reduce referral decision time, cut down on unsigned orders, or surface bottlenecks across teams, the Implementation Rewind webinar proved that Forcura’s tools continue to evolve for smarter, faster healthcare operations.
